CALL FOR PAPER
The Journal of Law and Islamic Jurisprudence Development (JOLID) invites academics, lecturers, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and NGO volunteers to submit articles based on research results and literature reviews for publication in its inaugural edition, Volume 1, Number 1, July - December 2026.
The focus and scope of the Journal of Law and Islamic Jurisprudence Development (JOLID) are as follows:
Focus of Study:
- Law, Society, and Development; Development of Islamic Economic Law; Transformation of Constitutional Law and Governance; and Contemporary Jurisprudence Reform
Scope of Study:
- Law, society, and development: Dynamics and harmonization of legal studies: common law, civil law, Islamic law; The role of law in sustainable development and strengthening public legal literacy; Socio-legal studies on the application of law in modern society.
- Development of Islamic economic law: Legal innovation in Islamic banking and finance; Transformation of Zakat, Infaq, Sedekah, and Waqf (ZISWAF) regulations for the welfare of the community; Legal aspects of Islamic financial technology (Fintech) and the digital economy.
- Transformation of constitutional law and governance: Development of legal politics; Integration of Islamic jurisprudential values into the national legal system and public policy; Development of constitutional law from a historical and contemporary perspective; Strategic policy studies in realizing good governance.
- Contemporary jurisprudence reform: New ijtihad methodologies in addressing medical, technological, and bioethical issues. Implementation of Maqasid al-Shari'ah in the protection of human rights and social justice; Islamic law and environmental issues (Ecotheology and Eco-law).
Article Requirements:
- Articles must not have been previously published in other media and must not contain any elements of plagiarism. A written statement from the author must be attached. Articles can be research results (field, literature), studies, conceptual ideas and theoretical applications, or case reports.
- Manuscripts should be typed in "Segoe UI" font, with the following font size: Main Title 14, Abstract 10, Subheadings 12, Subheadings and Contents 11, single-spaced, and 6-point spacing on A4 paper with margins of 3 cm from the left and right edges and 3 cm from the top and bottom edges. The maximum number of pages is 14-20, including the bibliography and tables.
- The abstract and keywords should be written in English (at the top) and Indonesian (at the bottom).
Articles should be written in Indonesian or English in essay format. - Article writing procedures include: (a) Main Title in English and Indonesian; (b) Author's identity; (c) Date of manuscript submission [filled in by the journal team]; (d) Abstract and keywords in English and Indonesian; (e) Article citation; (f) Introduction: 4,000-6,000 words of background, problem identification, and problem formulation; (g) Theoretical and Conceptual Framework; (h) Methodology; (i) Results and Discussion: research results (tables/graphs), analysis of research results, discussion, study limitations, and novelty of the study; (j) Conclusions and Recommendations; (k) Author's Acknowledgment, if any other parties were involved; (l) Author's Contribution Statement; (m) References. - Articles can be submitted through the Journal of Indonesian Philanthropic and Development Studies' Open Journal System (OJS). First, access the journal link and click the "REGISTRATION" menu, then submit the article.
- Authors will be notified in writing via this OJS. Unpublished articles will be returned to the author via the email address listed in the article.
